Previously 3D surgical endoscopes availability was much like the old Henry Ford story – “You can have any color you want as long as it is black” Surgeons could have any size 3D endoscopes they wanted as long as it was 10-12 millimeters in diameter, 315mm long and 0 or 30 degree. There were no other options… until now.

This means they can be created in any diameter, length or angle that a 2D endoscope can be made in. Where our competitors offer only one option REACH3D offers many. This includes lengths from 100mm to 440mm, diameters from 3mm to 10mm and angles such as 0, 15, 30, 45, 75 degrees as well as specialty scopes in almost any kind of configuration.

REACH3D provides 3D technology for UPMC ENT surgical Robot training.
Advanced 3D technology allows leap forward in training efficacy
July 24-26, 2015 (Pittsburgh, PA) - The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a 2015 US News and World Report Top 15 facility, once again tapped REACH3D to support a ground breaking training program. UPMC provided Surgical Robotics training for Ear Nose and Throat procedures utilizing stereo 3D imagery. The stereo 3D imagery was provided by REACH3D. The course creation was supported by MIS Solutions’ training professionals.
Once again UPMC staff noted that there was a very strong turnout of surgeons, many from across the country, for the course. The availability of multiple real-time 3D views of the surgeons perspective as well as playback of 3D recordings from previous procedures significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the course.

Leonardo 3D Vision system utilized at STS University
February 2, 2014 (Orlando, FL) - REACH3D, a 3D industry innovation leader, recently supported STS University as part of the 50th Annual meeting of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons in Orlando, Florida. The REACH3D Leonardo 3D Vision System was utilized to provide surgeons a Stereo 3D view of a cutting edge Mitral Valve repair procedure performed on a Davinci Surgical Robot.
Clif Parker, CEO, noted: Being given the opportunity to support surgeon training at STS University is a high honor. It is typically a 3+ year process to be allowed to support these classes yet REACH3D was invited within only a couple of months of being introduced. We feel this to be recognition of both product quality and the added value that the LEO 3D system brings to any type of surgical robot training or actual robotic procedures.
Mr. Parker also noted that without the LEO 3D system the surgeons choices would have been a 2D view (a much less successful format for understanding the intricacies of this procedure) or having to view the only moments of the procedure in 3D by utilizing the robot ( unacceptable given the time frame of the event and the number of attendees). The ability to allow a 3D view to the classroom of leading thoracic surgeons was the difference between success and failure for this portion of the STS University and REACH3D accomplished it with ease and Full HD 3D imagery.
